Point Abino Road Culvert (M414C) Replacement - 5m North of Nigh Road
To improve drainage and road safety, the culvert on Point Abino Road will be replaced. Point Abino Road will be closed for construction. Detour routes will be available via Garrison Road (Highway 3) and Nigh Road.
Construction Timeline: Up to 3 weeks, starting March 3, 2025
New Culvert: Precast elliptical concrete culvert (1145mm x 735mm, 12.5m long)
Switch Road Culvert (M608C) Replacement - 485m South of Niagara Parkway
The culvert on Switch Road is being replaced to improve water flow and road stability. Switch Road will be closed during construction, with detours available via Townline Road, Netherby Road, and Niagara River Parkway.
Construction Timeline: Up to 2 weeks, starting March 3, 2025
New Culvert: 600mm diameter HDPE pipe (12m long)
Point Abino Road Culvert (M338C) Replacement
To improve drainage and road safety, the culvert on Point Abino Road will be replaced at a separate location from M414C. Point Abino Road will be closed, but this work will not occur at the same time as the M414C closure. The detour routes are Garrison Road (Highway 3) and Nigh Road.
Construction Timeline: Up to 3 weeks, starting after the M414C closure is complete
New Culvert: 1500mm diameter HDPE pipe (16m long)
