The Town of Fort Erie is undertaking a review and update of its Community Improvement Plans (“CIPs”) pursuant to Section 28 of the Planning Act.
The purpose of the Community Improvement Plan Review is to consolidate the Town’s existing Community Improvement Plans into one comprehensive document to improve the clarity, administration, and accessibility of the Town’s community improvement programs and policies.
The review will also consider updates to the Community Improvement Project Areas, including the incorporation of Crystal Beach, as well as updates to existing financial incentive programs and the introduction of new programs to support revitalization, redevelopment, economic development, and investment opportunities throughout the Town.
Please note that affordable housing incentive programs are not included within the draft Consolidated Community Improvement Plan, as the Town’s Affordable Housing Community Improvement Plan (AHCIP) remains in effect as a separate standalone program.

Public Participation
The Town is seeking public input on the draft Community Improvement Plan. The Public Open House provides an opportunity for residents, business owners, and other interested parties to review the proposed framework and provide comments prior to consideration by Council.

Time: 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Location: Town Hall, 1 Municipal Centre Drive
An introductory presentation will be provided at the beginning of the event, followed by a drop-in style open house with opportunities to discuss the draft Community Improvement Plan, proposed incentive programs, and project area updates with members of Town Staff.
