The Elm Street Watermain Replacement project area is located in the Ridgeway section of Fort Erie that extends from Ridge Road North to Park Street.

A risk analysis of this area was conducted through the Town's Asset Management Plan.

The results of the risk analysis recommended the replacement of the existing 150mm diameter cast iron watermain along Elm Street from Ridge Road North to Park Street.

The general scope for this project includes the following:

• Replacement of the existing 150 mm diameter cast iron watermain with 150 mm diameter PVC watermain, including replacement of all services up to/including curb stops
• Replacement of the existing stormwater drainage system with a new storm sewer, boulevard swales and catchbasins that will improve the surrounding overland drainage within the municipal right-of-way.
• Full road reconstruction with reinstatement of granular shouldering
• New Concrete sidewalks along the Elm Street.
