Following feedback from the community regarding the 3-intersection complex connecting Ridge Road North and Bertie Street, Parsons, an engineering consultant, was retained by the Town to complete a functional and sign review of the intersection complex.

The ultimate recommendation of the review was to delete the southern (curved) section of Bertie Street and have all traffic routed to the existing intersection at Bertie Street and Ridge Road North.

As recommended, the Town initially undertook a 3-month trial of the new configuration and installed temporary concrete barriers, road closure signs and new pavement markings.

After those initial 3-months, the Town has extended the trial closing until the end of the year.
