Welcome to the Sunset Road Traffic Calming Study Page!

The Town of Fort Erie is doing traffic calming study for Sunset Road between [Street Needed] and [Street Needed].Traffic calming is a series of measures a town can implement to ease traffic concerns. This can be done through physical changes, like signs and road markings, and by encouraging behavior change through education and enforcement.

Project Process

The Neighbourhood Traffic Calming Studies will follow the process set out in the Town of Fort Erie Neighbourhood Traffic Calming Policy, adopted by Town Council on April 17, 2023. Consistent with this process, the project team will assess current conditions and prepare a proposed traffic calming plan for Sunset Road to address neighbourhood traffic concerns. Public input will inform the plans recommended to the Traffic Coordinating Committee and Council upon project completion.

We are inviting public input on the Sunset Road Neighbourhood Traffic Calming Study. You can participate and share your initial feedback through this survey (under the study location). The survey seeks your opinion on current traffic conditions and what traffic calming measures make sense for your neighbourhood.
